It is just you, me and the rain
We stand here for hours and let it seep into our skin
Past the muscles and the bones where we could never reach
Held under this satin sky where stars hide and the street lights dance in the rain
I feel every breath while your hands play and your lips brush me
Across my shoulder, up my neck

Your breath in my ear
The wind that swirls around our bare feet and up through our knees and hair could take us away

Your delicate fingers brush a piece of wild hair behind my ear while your eyes search mine with a wandering smile
I whisper
Come as close as you can
and we’ll let our soaked bodies melt into the concrete
